Your contributions to the National Kidney Foundation of Middle Tennessee this year have made the following programs and services possible:

The NKF of Middle Tennessee provided direct financial aid to 346 Dialysis and Transplant Patients to help with the cost of medication, transportation, nutritional supplements, utility bills, medical equipment, eyeglasses, dental work and rent.

Scholarships and meals were provided for children attending Camp Okawehna.

15,000 Educational Material Pieces about Kidney Disease and Organ Donation were furnished to the public at no charge.

395 Medi-Alert Tags were provided to Dialysis and Transplant Patients.

Scholarships were given to 7 Transplant Recipients and 1 Organ Donor Families to attend the US Transplant Games.

The NKF supported 4"People Like Us Live" Pre-Dialysis Education Programs for over 50 Patients and Family Members.

Kidney Early Evaluation Program - Last year, 226 people at risk for kidney disease were given free screening tests through this program.

HIKE - Last year, 1200 Middle School students received information on Kidney Disease

Resource and Referral information was provided to hundreds of Middle Tennesseans.

Our Mission

The Mission of the National Kidney Foundation is to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well -being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the Availability of all organs for transplantation.
